Sapa Adventure

Wow - what an adventure to Sapa! Sapa is a mountain town originally established as a hill station by the French. It is located north west of Hanoi near the border with China. Now it is becoming quite the tourist destination for both Vietnamese and other Asians as well as western tourists. Besides the cooler weather due to its elevation the other major attraction to the area is the culture! There are a number of ethnic minority groups the make the area their home. By far the most numerous are the H'Mong, an ethnic group that migrated from china several centuries ago. Hope you enjoy the picture tour of my adventure!
